Cleaning Update

Pre-soaked alcohol cloth wipes provide the most effective tool for cleaning the printer’s rubber

rollers. You can obtain these wipes by ordering them in packs of 10 (Tektronix order number

006-7824-01). As a substitute, use a coffee ﬁlter soaked with 90% isopropyl alcohol.

Caution:

Do not use rubbing alcohol because it can contian water and oils

that leave an undesirable residue on the printer’s parts.

When cleaning the printer’s rubber rollers, fold an alcohol-soaked cloth and hold with moderate

pressure against each individual roller while rotating it.

Scrub

each roller thoroughly by rotating

the roller at least

four or ﬁve complete revolutions.

If the cloth becomes dirty, discard it and use

another.
